We all need breathing time, whether that is spending time on your own or around others that give you the space to feel calm and understand the value of this. Personally, I have always been a person to value my own company.

Sometimes it is a case of inviting myself to reflect and appreciate what I have done for the day or in the week. This would involve telling myself how much I am proud of what I have achieved and also to feel thankful.

I understand the term ‘be your own cheerleader’. There are times that we feel dishearten, and a reminder of our capabilities is important. This is essential I also realise being humble in this process helps us to continue to grow and develop.

Breathing Time…..

  1. Being in the ‘here and now moment’; appreciating nature around you by taking walks. Looking around at the history and the beauty that you see.
  2. Self-positive talk; spending time to tell yourself you can, instead of I won’t or this will not work.
  3. Put your feet up; watch a movie, read a book, even sitting in silence would be appreciated for those who have noise filled within their day.
  4. Lastly, breathe; knowing that one day has ended which you have got through. Be thankful…
