I Love to write captions, words of encouragement and sharing my reflections over social media. I feel that when I have time to think about what I would like my pictures to convey, it helps me to write with purpose. In the process of this, every time I look back I remember these words and how I felt. Overtime I have collected pieces of wisdom, I feel that it should be helpful to continue sharing my timeline of growth.

There are times when we have our slow, unmotivated, uninspired days.. But just like the ocean, the stillness’ is just another one of or natural states. Soon the winds will pick up, the waves and tides will flow again.
So erase those words of self-doubt and replace them with words of self-love and hope. Your mind-set is a compass, so set your direction to a beautiful destination and adjust your sails in preparation for your journey. Manifest good thigs by thinking good things. As thoughts become our actions and our actions become our lifestyle. A right mind prepares for good choices.

This year has been an interesting challenge. I have learnt the importance of managing what I allow and who I allow In my life.. As I realise that I should no longer change myself for others, due to the pressure to fit in or be anything other than myself. Louise/ “ the tall girl with the braids”. Sometimes decisions, sacrifices and life choices we make can be so scary. Especially when you ponder on what the future may or may not hold.
But In all the questions, frustrations and tears! My emotions have brought me to the path of change … where I have found spiritual strengths. Learning that my imperfect self is loved by a perfect God.
I have found Gems along the way (you know who you are) where I realise once you’re able to show your true self the ones who accept it will encourage you to grow with 100% authenticity. Expecting nothing less than the real you.
I admit I am a working progress, my smile is evolving , I am looking forward to visualising my dream & I will look back on my experiences occasionally reminding myself that.. ‘life may crush you but it will only succeed in creating diamonds.

How have you used your time during this time? I have personally used the time to reflect and become more aware of myself and my response to life. A wise source once told me that ‘the strength of a tree is the depth of its roots’.. Now I understand what this means; life is too short and fragile. We complain, compare, want and wait for something bigger and better, when there are blessings in the simple things in life.
We may be in relationships or situations that are not good for us and instead of providing us with certainty in an uncertain world. They alone create more confusion in uncertain times like this, which sadly stunts our growth and drains our strength.. When really our goals should be to pursue thing that make us feel internally stable (healthy soil for our roots to be strong and provide resilience) providing nutrients we need in our lives. If we use this time to deepen our roots of security and stability (mind-set) it will help us to avoid putting our fuel in what seems like a car that doesn’t want to work, move or take us safely to our destination.
Instead invest & fuel up for a better wellbeing and a healthy outlet. Give yourself stability by finding activities to develop as a person; find your faith, worth, creativity and goals.
Let’s take on mind-set that strives for goodness to better ourselves. Focus on strategies to build upon; to help manage anxiety, stress or depression that you may be battling with. To do this create deep roots to anchor you in unpredictable weather. Plan to plant new flowers to smell the freshness of life. So that when time like this (world crisis), people and situations try to shake you! You are still able to collect tiny fragments of light to create moments of inspiration and peace.

Find places and moments where you’re heart smiles and your mind feels at home. When you find this secret place.. Treasure it!
Your favourite place should tell the story of who you are, where the real you shines and your soul is understood. My garden reminds me that when my prayers are planted, my dreams will flourish.. When I stop relying on finding a home in others, I can start to build the foundation of a home within myself.
Overtime my life will start to develop storage space for new growth and a faster attitude. When we spend time building a relationship with ourselves this sets the tone for ever other relationship we will have.
What activities or moment make you feel at home? Where can you truly be yourself.. you will know when you have found it because it provides you with healing. Simple, yet you feel settled.
Remember that we each carry a home within us. So look after yourself. Make your home a home. Save towards a deposit (wellbeing) that will find you a safe place, built with love and security.
